Rylan grew up in Wilkie, SK where he first started playing volleyball. After several club seasons, Rylan was recruited to Olds College where he played two seasons as a middle and outside hitter with the Broncos in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. During his time at Olds College Rylan assistant coached with the Jr. Broncos Volleyball Camps. After his playing career, Rylan began coaching with Battlefords Volleyball Club (BVC). In the 2021-22 season, Rylan was the head coach of the u16 Men’s volleyball team with BVC. Rylan recently relocated to Calgary and is excited to continue his coaching career with Ace Volleyball Club.
