U16 Ace of Diamonds Cochrane
(Head Coach)
In her seventh season of coaching club volleyball, Ali is excited to join the ACE community this year. She has past experience head and assistant coaching U13-U18, as well as coaching various school teams from Sir Winston Churchill Jr. Girls, St. Francis Jr. Girls, and Grade 9 at Calgary Academy. Most recently, she completed this school season as the head coach of the Cochrane High Jr. Girls where the team won both the Rockyview Divisional and Alberta 3A South Central Zone Championships.Â

Ali started playing volleyball in grade 7, where she played all throughout junior high, high school as well as club volleyball from U15-U18. Ali had the opportunity to play club with Southern Alberta Volleyball Club and Canuck Volleyball Club as an outside hitter and a libero. Ali also played with Sir Winston Churchill High School, where in both her grade 11 and grade 12 years, the team ranked in the top 5 at 4A Provincials each year.

As a teacher, Ali is focused on the growth, development, and dedication for all of her players to reach their full potential in the sport of volleyball as well as growing into being the best versions of themselves. Ali focuses on the development of technical skills, the game-mindset, goal setting and development of being a team player and translation skills that athletes can use on and off the court.
